Method Description:
We propose a LiDAR-camera 3D object detection
method based on hierarchical confidence-guided
multimodal fusion. The method models reliability
at multiple levels, including point-level, local-
structure-level, and object-region-level cues, to
guide the use of image information during point
cloud feature construction. These confidence cues
help suppress unreliable image-to-point
associations caused by occlusion, projection
ambiguity, and depth inconsistency. The resulting
robust fused representation is used for bird's-
eye-view 3D object detection.
